Our 2024 AScUS (un)conference will be held in the charming City of Troyes, the city of a thousand colours. It is situated in the heart of the Champagne region in France, 1 hour and 30 minutes south east from Paris (by train). Apart from local delicacies, Troyes offers a landscape of vibrant cultural and architectural heritage.
We will be hosted at the Maison de l’Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière (MOPO), place that of transmission dedicated to learning. The MOPO is housed in one of Troyes’ most beautiful buildings, the “hôtel Mauroy”. At the interior, there is a museum that features 12,000 tools in 65 remarkably staged display cases.
Getting there
From Charles de Gaulle Airport
The RER B links Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Paris and its suburbs. Getting to and leaving Paris-Charles de Gaulle: The station « Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 » serves terminals 1 and 3. The Aéroport-Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV serves terminals 2 ACDEF and G. Terminal 2G is linked to terminal 2F by the free N2 shuttle. Journey time: allow 45 mins (RER) for a journey from to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport to Paris-Gare du Nord Once you get to Paris-Gare du Nord, you can transfer to Gare de l'Est in order to take the train to Troyes.

From Orly Airport
Paris-Orly is linked to the RER B station Antony by the ORLYVAL shuttle train.
Information: From Paris towards Antony take the trains heading for Saint Remy les Chevreuses, from Antony towards Paris and its suburbs take the trains heading for Mitry-Claye or for "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle.
ORLYVAL shuttle train stops at Paris-Orly:
Orly 4: entrance 48
Orly 1-2: entrance 14 Arrival level
Journey time*: 25 to 35 minutes (RER) + 8 min (ORLYVAL)
Take the RER B to Paris-Gare du Nord. There you can transfer to Gare de l'Est in order to take the train to Troyes.

From the Centre of Paris
From Gare de l'Est take the TER train to the train station of Troyes. You can check the schedule and costs clicking here or going to the website of the French trains company SNCF. The train takes about 1h 25 mins from station to station. Once you get to the train station in Troyes, you can walk to your hotel or use public transport.
